Hawaii Island Health & Wellness Center

BISAC, under the name of Hawaii Island Health and Wellness Center, provides behavioral and mental health services addressing a wide range of issues. Licensed therapists use evidence-based therapies to focus on issues such as depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, parenting, adjustment concerns, weight management, smoking cessation, anger management, and sleep difficulties.

Counseling and Therapy

The Hawaii Island Health & Wellness Center (HIHWC) is a division of the Big Island Substance Abuse Council. HIHWC provides mental health services to the general public and current BISAC clients. The goal of HIHWC is to enhance well-being and create meaningful changes in our community and the lives of those we care for.

Staffed by Licensed Providers, HIHWC addresses the underlying issues to addiction, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief & loss, chronic illness and pain, life changes, interpersonal relationships, parenting, domestic violence, anger management, smoking cessation, and coping with disasters.  Individual, couples, family, and group sessions are available for adults, adolescents, and children.

Our providers empower clients to identify, understand, and reclaim their lives. When symptoms interfere with daily life and normal functioning, triggering distress for the individual and/or their loved ones, help is here.

Smoking Cessation

Just Hā is BISAC’s smoking cessation program that offers individual counseling and *FREE Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). Whether you smoke cigarettes or e-cigarettes, we can help you quit. *Patches, gum, or lozenges only. You must be 21 years or older to receive NRT.
